Community Building Use
PRIORY CHURCH QUEENSFERRY
Our buildings – the Church and Garden Room – are are a vital and wonderful part of the life and work of the Priory, but they’re also available for local community hire and commercial use as well.
This benefits local groups of many kinds, and the proceeds raised go towards the upkeep of the buildings and the costs involved in sustaining our church community and its activity.

Concerts & Events
The Priory Church was built 600 years ago partly with music in mind. Back then, it was the sung worship of a Carmelite monastic community; now the curved stone roof resonates with musical worship both traditional and contemporary, and the exceptional acoustic also makes the Priory Church an outstanding small concert venue. Recent concerts have included jazz, classical and traditional/folk music.

Outdoors
Concerts and events don’t just happen inside the building: with the Bridges and the setting sun as a backdrop, the grounds have proved to be an attractive open-air venue too (and the buildings are there as back up in the event of poor weather).

The Big Screen
A large screen at the east end of the building is, we believe, the largest screen available in Queensferry, and makes for an excellent film or multimedia event.
Community Groups use the buildings for all kinds of things: currently including regular youth work evenings, and line dancing classes.
Other, one -off events, such as ceilidhs and receptions also take place, and church folk from other locations like to come to the Priory for special days or evening events.
We have a range of rates depending on the type of usage: commercial rates are available, while community and charitable use is discounted.
We’re happy to discuss the options and the costs, so please get in touch via email on
